Oral Check-up

From the first dental check-up to regular care at every growth stage.

ORAL CHECKUP

Before cavities form,
early detection is the best defense.

Regular oral check-ups detect cavities, bite problems, and gum issues early — reducing treatment scope and cost. ESAM is a designated national infant oral check-up institution, and check-ups are conducted by a pediatric dental specialist.

Infant Oral Check-up

Government-Supported

Infant oral check-ups are part of the national health screening program. Check the date and period on the check-up voucher sent by the National Health Insurance Service, and register as 'Infant Oral Check-up' when you visit.

Infant check-up schedule

01Age 2 (18 – 29 months)
02Age 3 (30 – 41 months)
03Age 4 (42 – 53 months)
04Age 5 (54 – 65 months)

For children under 24 months, only air instruments are used — no water spray or suction.

School-age Regular Check-up

Recommended from age 6

From age 6, when permanent teeth begin to emerge, we recommend check-ups every 6 months. Earlier detection of cavities and bite issues means less treatment burden.

Cavities

Check the presence and extent of decay in primary and permanent teeth.

Bite alignment

Evaluate upper-lower tooth contact and any jaw growth abnormalities.

Gums & mucosa

Check for gum inflammation and oral mucosal abnormalities.

Oral hygiene

Measure plaque index and provide proper brushing instruction.
