Growth Orthodontics
The golden time for growth-phase orthodontic treatment.
GROWTH ORTHODONTICS
Straight teeth and
proper jaw growth.
Growth-phase orthodontics is more than just aligning teeth. By intervening when the jaw is still growing, skeletal correction becomes possible — something adults can no longer achieve. Treatment is coordinated between our pediatric and orthodontic specialists.

FAQ
Growth orthodontics — FAQs
When is the best time to start growth orthodontics?
It depends on the condition, but children with underbite (underjaw) or severe crowding may benefit from starting at age 5–7. For general alignment issues, the ideal window is around ages 8–10, when most permanent teeth have emerged. An AI growth assessment objectively determines the optimal start time.
If we do growth orthodontics, will they need braces again later?
Phase 1 growth orthodontics doesn't fully replace adult treatment. However, correcting jaw growth in Phase 1 significantly reduces the scope and duration of Phase 2. In mild cases, Phase 2 may not be needed at all.
What is the AI growth assessment?
It analyzes wrist bone maturity and facial X-rays to evaluate the child's current growth stage and remaining growth potential — objectively confirming whether it's the right time to start orthodontic treatment.
Is Invisalign First different from regular clear aligners?
Yes. Invisalign First is designed specifically for growing children. Unlike adult clear aligners, it includes arch expansion capability — creating space for teeth to emerge while simultaneously organizing the dental arch, updated in stages to match the child's changing oral structure.
